Netgear WAB102 Dual Mode Access Point uses second-generation Atheros chip for 802.11a (one of the best manufacturers on the market) but an Atmel chip for 802.11b connectivity (one of the worst manufacturers on the market). I’m yet to read someone say that the 802.11b in the WAB102 is any good at all, although the 802.11a connectivity is highly praised. This doesn’t help me much seeing as I have 2×802.11b cards :/

Garg. My wireless equipment arrived today. Took a while to configure it, but by the end of the day I’d figured out why: it won’t reach my loungeroom which is 3 metres away from the AP. *sighs*. I can’t tell if it’s a problem with the card, if the card just sucks, or if its something else.
On the upside, my 19″ monitor arrived also ;)

Updated the news script so that it shows 10 entries per page (seemed like a convienent setting at the time). It will make the loading time faster because you don’t have to view the entire archive, while preserving access to past updates (as long as I permit it that is;).

Updated the PHP templates so that not every page needs to have the bar on the left (“QuickLinks”). Makes some of the pages look a little neater :)
