Wooohoo!
The news updater is finally in place and working…I can now update the news remotely which means more frequent updates 
The bastard PHP fileopen() function kept screwing me around because it needs to have fileclose() performed before it actually writes it. Ah well. I found an easier way to get around it 
Anyway it works now so…yah
