Apart from the fact that Windows 95/98 won’t visually improve performance with more than 128MB of RAM, MicroSoft actually officially acknoledge that 95/98 will have severe problems running with more than 512MB of RAM installed.

In addition to that (I got the links from www.dansdata.com ;) they also acknoledge that 95/98 *cannot* achieve an uptime greater than 49.7 days due to a programming bug. Oh well…I’m sure XP will have some sort of backdoor in it that enables MS to automatically patch any bugs they find rather than having to acknoledge any bugs anywhere ;)
